This Stone Lake Inn Wedding was another very long awaited day! Shara and Scott were yet another couple that had to postpone their 2020 wedding to 2021. These decisions were so hard for every single one of our couples. You better believe that when the big day finally rolled around they were ready to PARTY!!! The day was drizzling rain but they weren’t going to let that dampen their mood!

They both got ready surrounded by their family and friends. The morning was full of tears, some happy and some a touch sad. Shara got dressed and shared a first look with her dad and with Scott. And then we headed down the road to the church ceremony where Shara’s mother was laid to rest. This moment hit extra close to home for me, and I cried right alongside her.

As you dream about your wedding day growing up you picture a lot of moments that will include your parents. For those of us missing a parent, those moments don’t get to happen. While the day is full of joy, there is also a bit of sadness as we miss someone who meant the world to us. It was hard and bittersweet and I’m so glad that Shara made sure to set aside a portion of the day for that visit.

The rest of their day drizzled rain off and on until right before the ceremony started. The skies cleared up as Shara walked out and they finally got to say I DO!!! They spent the rest of the night dancing and celebrating under a big tent with all of their loved ones!

Shara and Scott, we’re so happy that you finally got to celebrate your marriage! Thanks for letting us be a part of it!
