A Sunrise Long Beach Island Wedding | Mr. + Mrs. Kendall

This Sunrise Long Beach Island Wedding was 100% worth the 4 AM wake up call! Amanda and Jacob wanted a wedding that was sweet and intimate and true to them. And that’s exactly what this wedding day was!

Jesse and I started Amanda and Jacob’s wedding day while it was still pitch black outside. Amanda’s mom, sister and grandma helped her get ready at their family beach house, while Jacob got ready right down the road! Her grandma pinned a brooch in her hair that has been passed down to many generations over the years.

They shared a quick first look and then went down to the beach together right as the sun started to peek over the horizon. I had been worried that the sunrise on the morning of their wedding would be grey or foggy. While it still would have been pretty, I knew Amanda was crossing her fingers for a colorful sunrise. As they said their vows, the sky turned 15 different shades of pink and blue and yellow. They said their “I Do’s” with just their immediate families watching and cheering them on.

Amanda and Jacob’s parents both celebrated 30 and 40 years of marriage respectively this year. These two have a lovely legacy of long marriages as a wonderful example to follow. Both of these families welcomed us with open arms, fed us breakfast and coffee, and sent us home with a Tupperware of cake for the road!
