October weddings give me all of the feelings. I think it has something to do with the change of season and the crispness in the air. And October is the month we got married so that for sure adds to the warm and fuzzy feelings! Kristen and Matt got married on the most perfect fall day at Longswamp Bed and Breakfast in Mertztown, PA.
Their wedding day, like most 2020 wedding days, went through a whole lot of adjustments to make sure they kept their friends and family safe. Instead of a big party, they had a peaceful and intimate day surrounded by their closest family and friends. They got ready at Longswamp Bed and Breakfast, and had a calm morning with family and then had an intimate ceremony. They had the sweetest tented reception at Kristen’s family house.
Kristen and Matt shared their first dance as husband and wife in the same yard that Kristen grew up playing in, right as the sun was setting. It was just gorgeous!
Their guests relaxed and chatted around a bonfire, drank beer from their favorite local breweries and played yard games like corn hole and can jam. Shoutout to Kristen’s dad for beating me at several rounds of Bocce Ball! 😉
Instead of a cake they had homemade cookies made by the family, and a PA Dutch funny cake made by Kristen’s mom!
Their day was peaceful and sweet and full of so much love!
Congratulations to the brand new Mr. and Mrs. Oberdoester! We wish you all the love and happiness in the world!
