What do you get when you cross a downtown shoot, perfect golden hour portraits, the sweetest couple on God’s green earth, and an exploding waffle cone? Ella and Pat’s engagement shoot!

We couldn’t have asked for better weather for Ella and Pat’s engagement shoot in downtown Bethlehem. We also couldn’t have asked for a more natural couple in front of the camera. From the first few minutes of their session, it was obvious that they knew what they were doing! We have a sneaking suspicion they might have looked through our past blog posts and knew exactly how to pose. Which we loved! 😉

Their chemistry in these pictures was the same in front of the camera as it was when we weren’t even shooting. It was obvious to us that they are head-over-heels in love with each other.

You would think finding natural fall colors in a downtown city environment would be difficult, but Ella knew exactly where the best places were!

And who doesn’t love an ice cream shoot, complete with a malfunctioning waffle cone, and a first time waffle cone eater!? Pat did a great job tackling this new adventure despite his cone exploding all over his 2nd outfit!

At the end of their shoot, Ella gifted us the sweetest of gifts, part of which was her mother’s famous homemade granola bars. Whatever the appropriate time to finish a whole box of granola bars is, we did it in half of that. And we regret nothing.

We’re excited to shoot their wedding next September and can only hope there’s plenty of ice cream and waffle cones and granola to keep us busy in the meantime.
