Shara + Scott | A Snowy Engagement Session

I’ve shot in snow before, but this snowy engagement session was on a whole different level!

Let’s start with a little backstory: Shara and Scott were one of the many couples that booked us in 2019 for their 2020 wedding with big hopes and big dreams. They planned on having a snowy engagement session at some point in the 2019/2020 winter season, and then we barely had any snow! We decided to plan a spring session instead, and then COVID happened. They decided to push their wedding to 2021, and we got a second chance at a snowy engagement session!

Fast forward to this year. Winter started out very slowly and it looked like it might be another low snow winter. And then GOOD HEAVENS did we get dumped on with snow. Several times. We both had open days on the calendar and snow on the ground so their snowy engagement session was finally a go! There was a little bit of snow in the forecast. We started their session right as the snow began to come down and it was so wintery and beautiful.

And then: a full whiteout happened. When I say whiteout, I mean heaps on heaps of snow coming down sideways. It was unreal! (Scroll for proof that I’m not exaggerating.)

Shara and Scott were absolute troopers even though the weather conditions were less than ideal. They laughed and snuggled up and drank champagne about it! This past year has thrown so many unexpected things their way, so an aggressive snowstorm wasn’t about to mess up their session!

Shara and Scott, we can’t wait for your wedding at the beautiful Stone Lake Inn – hopefully with a little bit warmer weather!

Enjoy this little peek into their snowy engagement session!
