Suzie + Shay | A Blush and Navy Whitewoods Summer Wedding

After every wedding, on our drive home, Jesse and I typically talk through the day and share stories of things that happened throughout the day. Funny things a groomsman did, emotional moments, or the amount of times I tripped over my own two feet. *facepalm*

On our drive home from the Harrington wedding, the theme of every story we had to share was family filled, laughter packed, and love soaked. That sums up their beautiful day so well.

From the moment I walked into the house where the bridesmaids were getting ready, I was greeted with the sounds of laughter and joy. Suzie gave me the biggest hug, and I instantly felt right at home in her group of beautiful bridesmaids. Her first looks with her bridesmaids, as well as with her dad, were filled with happy tears + squeals of joy!

One of my most favorite moments throughout the day (let’s be honest, there were alotttt of most favorite moments), was while we were riding in the party bus, with the bridesmaids, on the way to the ceremony. Suzie was singing and everyone was dancing and having a great time and then she got super quiet and thoughtful. Her eyes got watery and a big smile broke out on her face and she said, “I really can’t wait to see Shay. I miss him.” It was so simple and so pure and so full of love.

Shay + Suzie, you two are the real deal. The way both sides of your family, as well as your friends, surrounded you with an abundance of love and support is truly a gift that I hope you never take for granted. Thank you for allowing Jesse and I the honor of capturing that love.
