Sarah + Nathanael // Woodsy Michigan Couples Session // Photographer Jeannie Lytle // Lytle Photo Co.

When Sarah and I were in our super early teens we were the very best of friends. Completely inseparable. Full of secrets and teenage girl giggles. We both lived in Kentucky at the time. And then life happened and within two weeks of each other I moved to Pennsylvania and she moved to Germany. We swore we’d always be bestest friends, that nothing would change our friendship, that we would write and call and stay in touch. And we did!  “Ain’t no mountain high enough” was our long distance friendship song! For the longest time we were great at writing and calling and staying up to date in each others lives!

And then our late teens and college happened. And jobs and schooling and life got in the way. And we went from calling weekly to every other week…to once a month…to “holy cow it’s been 6 months and I haven’t talked to Sarah…” Because sometimes life just happens. There were no fights, no problems, no hard feelings.. it was just how life went!

We creeped on each others facebook to make sure the other was doing well, and when big life events happened such as college graduation, bootcamp, engagements, etc., we would always send a message to congratulate each other on how life was going! Sarah got married and due to some things happening in my life at the time I wasn’t able to make the wedding, but she was such a gorgeous bride!

Last summer, Sarah sent me a message congratulating me on my engagement. Several hours later we were still talking and attempting to catch up on life and all of the things that had transpired since we last talked and it was like no time had ever passed She came all the way from Michigan for my wedding in October and it was the first time we had seen each other since August 2009. ?❤️

Fast forward to last weekend when we were in Michigan and I had the incredible privilege of getting her and her super sweet husband in front of my camera.  ❤️ We also got dinner, talked for hours and got to rekindle a friendship and it was so so good for my heart.

I hope you enjoy this preview of your session!

Love,

Jeannie
