Danielle + Mike | A Fall Sunset Engagement Session at Hawk Mountain in Kempton, PA

Hey Friends!

Jeannie passed the torch on to me, Jesse (second shooter, bearded one), this week and I couldn’t be happier! Not only is this my first blog post, this is our first hiking engagement shoot!

Danielle and Mike decided on Hawk Mountain for their engagement shoot and they couldn’t have picked a better spot! Jeannie and I have always enjoyed hiking, but we haven’t actually had a shoot during a hike before. This was the perfect location and time to delve into our first hiking shoot!

Fall was in the air – the sun was set low on the horizon, the air was crisp, cool, and fresh, leaves had started to turn into that perfect hue prompting feelings of pumpkin pie, apple cider, and traipsing through corn fields, and it was perfectly obvious to Jeannie and I that Danielle and Mike were head over heels for each other. Despite a rather annoyingly fast paced trek to the top of the mountain (courtesy of yours truly and what I thought was a “shortcut”), Danielle and Mike were all smiles as we captured their love at 1210 feet. They couldn’t stop smiling at each other as Jeannie captured them arm in arm. Despite rocky terrain (there were no flat surfaces and they had to basically perform ballerina poses to not tumble) their love was not only evident to Jeannie and I but to the other outdoorsy people who decided to traverse the paths that day.

Needless to say, we’re excited to capture Mike and Danielle’s wedding day in June 2020. There won’t be hikes through the woods to outlooks surveying 70 miles, but there will be the look in their eyes as they see each other for the first time on their wedding day and we already know it will be filled with love and joy!

Enjoy the peak (all the pun intended) at their session below!
