Lauren + Brendan schedule a couples session with me every year, in addition to their yearly family pictures and I love love love that they do this for themselves. Making sure you remember that before you were “Mom and Dad”, there was just the two of you is so so important. Taking time to soak that in, in the midst of the craziness of life + kids + jobs + responsibilities needs to be a priority.

This years session took place in the sweet little town of Geneva, New York. Lauren had a vision of pictures in Charleston, South Carolina, a town well known for it’s cobblestone streets and pastel colored houses, but since they live in Upstate New York, South Carolina wasn’t an option. Instead we found this adorable neighborhood in the city of Geneva and it definitely did not disappoint!
